Most diets fail due to two reasons:
#1. Slowed metabolism
#2. Increased Appetite
My program uses coffee as a tool to partially combat these. I employ other strategies other than calorie restriction that work synergistically with coffee. Appetite is the reason thin people, those born with great genetics like my wife, pictured below in the blog, don't gain. Appetite is the also the reason that people born with bad genetics, the genetics of metabolic syndrome, are hungry and crave fat, sugar, and salt.
The coffee cure program decreases this, dramatically. I rarely crave sweets or fats anymore.
Insulin is the reason so many popular diets are unhealthy. Insulin is elevated in the majority of those struggling with their weight, and unless you address your high insulin levels, you will never be successful at long term weight loss. Insulin is the real reason we get visceral [abdominal] fat. And high levels are perhaps the major reason we develop most diseases like cancer, heart disease, stroke, and dementia. I have treated many thousands of patients over my 35 year career, and I know a lot about insulin-related diseases. I have even battled some in myself. Coffee is more effective than some prescription medications for lowering your risks of certain diseases, and when combined with the four pillars of the coffee cure program, many not only lose weight, but their risk of disease also plummets.
As a medical doctor and a person who struggles with weight, I know about most diets out there. I have tried many of them myself. And guess what? None of them work, because eventually the diet always ends.

Coffee is associated with lower risks of diabetes (Ding, M, 2014).
Coffee is associated with a lower risk of heart disease in an inverse dose-dependant fashion (Ding, M, 2015) (O'Keefe, 2013).
Coffee is associated with decreased incidence of new hypertension (Grosso, 2017).
In addition coffee lowers insulin resistance, promotes weight loss, especially in the abdomen, and is a powerful antioxidant and antiinflammatory (Suliga, 2017).
There are studies linking it with lower risks of dementia, stroke, liver disease, cirrhosis, and fatty liver (Chen, 2014).
Still more studies connect coffee with a lower risk of depression and suicide (Kawachi, 1996). It is associated with higher levels of driving alertness and lower accident rates (Asaoka, 2012).
Coffee helps in the digestion and metabolism of fats and glucose (Mellbye, 2017).
Coffee consumption is associated with improved lipid blood profiles; i.e., it is associated with lower triglycerides and higher HDL (Sarria, 2018).
Coffee consumption, filtered, is not associated with worsened cholesterol profiles (Bak and Grobbee, 1991)
